Do you get a refurbished Apple iPhone when you need a replacement phone ?

apple iphone

I had the complaint with my iPhone as well as Apple transposed it for me with the “new” one. Do they unequivocally give brand new ones, or refurbished ones? we was only curious.

If they give you a refurb, legally they have to disclose it. My friend had a problem with her iPhone and it was replaced with a completely new phone.

They give out refurbished ones. That’s why they come in the white box instead of actually in the “iphone” boxes.

There is no definite answer because it depends on the situation.
In most cases, they will try to give you a refurb. You can contest it and try to get a new one, but it depends in the situation.

In my case, they gave me a brand spankin new 3G when my 2G crashed. But that was 1 week after the 3G release, when Apple had no refurbs yet.

6 mo’s later, I later cracked the outer glass/digitizer and they gave me a refurb. They refused to give me a new one because I was “at fault.”

So the answer is both Yes and No, depending on the situation.
