yea i get ya, i wanna palm pre or iphone, but the date plan + calling cost is extremely expensive, dont know if i can keep it up. Also do you know how many apps apple has? but like 1/3 are just shortcuts to internet webpages.

The only bad thing about it that I can think of right now is the battery life. Ill charge it all night and take it off charge it 6 am… by 8 pm it’s dead. Thats on like a school day when I don’t use it very much. If i use it alot I might have to charge it in the middle of the day.
Other than that I love it. And they also make a better battery for it that Im going to buy. haha. It’s on precentral.

The screen on the pre is smaller but it’s has the same amount of pixels as the iphone. so you get better quality picture.
There aren’t many apps yet. I just checked and it said 418 but more come everyday. And the app catalog is still in its beta form.
This video came out the day the pre was released. So this means that the pre in the video was running webos 1.0.2. There have been 6 updates since then. Now it’s on 1.3.1 and there is very little lag if any at all.
There is only one bad thing.

i think that the screen is too small, barely any apps, and somewhat laggy. Should i still get? what are the good things?

you seem Bias towards palm because you show the good thing about the pre and say that the iphone dont have it, i myself prefer the palm but still, be fair

I have a Palm Pre and I love it. The ONLY thing is and all my fellow Pre owners can’t dispute this…IS WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH OUR APPS?? I swear they’re knock off/crappy iPhone apps..they all mostly suck. Other than that both phones are really great and similar.

£20 says the Palm Pre gets nowhere, certainly in the UK for sure as it is all down to marketing and Apple is a bit good at this, plus the fact another two carriers have just got their hands on it on the run up to Christmas.
It doesn’t matter if the Palm is actually better it won’t kill the iPhone.
But what do I know? When I first saw Madonna in the 80’s I said she was rubbish and would go nowhere (actually I was right about the first point).

I have the Palm Pre and I LOVE it. Everything is so easy and natural to use. I can’t think of anything this phone can’t do! The mulitasking is amazing also.

true, but since the 3gs and the pre have 256mb of ram, the speed should be about the same. its the UI that people dont like

Its just u cant Test the old Version of a product with the newest of another – thats Not fair – and u will See that the iPhone 3gs for example turns faster with the gravity Sensor. If u cant afford the actual Version of a Device then just leave it, cause like that many people will Not have noticed that its Not the 3gs and have a wrong opinion of the iPhone now.

This not comparison..this is just telling what palm pre got more than iPhone..completely bias..at least for me..
